About ProLine Fishing

ProLine Fishing is a specialty fishing rod manufacturer based in Elk River, Minnesota.

We originally partnered with legendary professionals Roland Martin and Gary Roach to produce fishing rods under a brand label which carries their respective names. Roland and Gary actually did some of the design, from determining the rod models, to the selection and placement of guides, handles, reel seats, and colors, and ProLine did the engineering necessary to produce the desired rod. The finished products are the result of their many years of expertise, and our quality and diligence in manufacturing. The result is a rod which is unique in design and purpose.

Since then, ProLine has worked with many local, regional, and national professionals, including many guides, TV personalities, and industry veterans. We discovered there was a common desire to have a rod built to suit a specific need. In order to do this, the rod couldn't be subjected to the confines of price before it's designed, yet it still must be affordable for the majority of anglers. With this in mind, we began work on developing our own brands according to this mantra.

Today, we don't target a market and design our branded rods to fit a niche. Instead, we listen to what the industry professionals tell us they need, then we go about designing the rod around that criteria. In the case of Roland Martin, we take his ideas, offer our suggestions, and produce the product he wants. The rods and accessories found under the ProLine and Roland Martin brands are true to the intentions of their respective namesake, and have their final stamp of approval before we ever go to production. This is what sets ProLine apart from other manufacturers.

Our warehouse is located in Bloomington, MN, and all product ships from this central location. ProLine also manages the inventory, shipping, receiving, sales, and warranties in addition to manufacturing.

ProLine began in 2005 when we started working with Gary Roach on his Mr Walleye® Series rods. In the past, Gary had done endorsements for other manufacturers, offering up his ideas for designs, actions, and models, yet he still lacked any control over the product itself. Sometimes they used his ideas, sometimes they didn't. That is the common format in the industry, where a manufacturer is simply paying a pro for the right to use their name on a rod they didn't actually design. Gary wanted something different, he wanted his own brand, but he needed to make sure that if a fishing rod had his name on it, that rod would be 100% designed and approved by himself and he would always have the final word. We are proud to have developed the products which were sold under his name for over 5 years. ProLine no longer manufacture the Mr Walleye® brands.

We began working with Roland shortly after Gary's lines started their 2nd year. Roland had also been looking for a way to produce his own brand of rods, very similar to what Gary wanted. In several years of trying, he had not seen any results. Our ability to produce exactly what he wanted and manage the operation is what ultimately brought us together. In 2008 we introduced his Tournament Grade I rod line, and in 2010 we released his Signature Series products, as well as the new Gut Saver.

ProLine currently manufactures Icepro, our vision of what a high quality ice fishing rod and combo should be. We also manufacture the Addiction product lines featuring the very best Walleye, Inshore, Salmon and Trout rods anywhere. See Our Brands for more information on ProLine's branded fishing rods. We continue to manufacture Roland Martin's Signature Series as well.

ProLine has a strategic alliance with U.S. Reel, to provide top quality fishing rods for use with their incredible spinning and baitcasting reels.

ProLine Fishing is committed to top quality manufacturing, with no cutting corners. Our products hold an incredible value edge when compared to similarly priced competitive brands. The simple approach we have to staying true to the intentions of the designer will keep you on the water catching more fish.
