Eliminate Bruising from Rod Butts

Many rods today have hard rubber, or plastic butt caps. Some have nothing at all. When you have your rod butt up against your hip or belt, that can leave an uncomfortable bruise or even a welt. Gut Saver was designed to specifically eliminate this problem. Roland used to wrap duct tape around the butt end of the rod to make a homemade pad.

Won't Damage your Rod

Gut Saver is made of a special foam material that stretches to fit onto the end of the rod. It doesn't use screws, tape, or glue - it stays fastened all by itself. When you want to remove it, just give a tug and a twist, and it comes straight off without damaging the cork

Fits Most Rods

The elasticity memory of the Gut Saver material allows it to fit snug onto rod butts of various diameters from 7/8" - 1-1/8"

Lightweight

Gut Saver weighs almost nothing, so you won't even feel it on your rod, and it won't upset the balance.

Aside from picking your favorite color, you can use Gut Saver to help color-code your rods so you can more easily recognize what your looking for.

Writable Surface

You can even write on a Gut Saver. In addition to color coding rods, marking it to denote how it's rigged can make the needed rod stand out in your rod locker.
