One of the common themes in Roland's years of fishing, is simply promoting the sport. He recognizes that the vast majority of anglers aren't die-hards, or professionals - they are everyday folks who enjoy picking up a rod and reel and just sitting down to catch fish. Most anglers don't own a boat. They might be summmertime weekenders, or they might take one fishing trip a year. Most have a two or three fishing rods, and a small tackle box full of various worms, jigs, and crankbaits. This is the "Lunchpail Fisherman" - the angler that isn't interested in spending several hundred dollars per year on equipment and tackle. They just want to enjoy the fun and relaxation of fishing, without breaking the bank. Roland created Signature Series specifically for this type of angler. He wanted to provide an affordable rod you can count on, where he could also pass along some of his expertise in it's design to help you catch more fish. Signature Series does just that.

Using 100% graphite blanks give you the lightweight rod you need, and the performance and response you desire.

New Concept Style Guides

The "New Concept" guide system means using more guides, spaced closer together, giving you better power and control. We use a specially coated guide ring to minimize friction on the line, so it doesn't wear out prematurely. The copper colored guide rings won't groove either!

100% Natural Cork Handles

A good handle is important, and 100% natural cork is the only way to go. Roland designed these handle diameters and lengths to give you the best feel while holding the rod. Better feel means better control.

Fast Taper Actions

The action of every rod is a key point in whether it's worth fishing with. Each action is custom-designed by Roland to deliver the best performance for each rod. The tips taper down nicely to give a lively feel to the rod end. You'll feel more bites, and land more fish.

Balanced Construction

If the rod isn't balanced, you'll be fighting the rod, instead of the fish. Roland fixed the balance points on the rods, so you'll have a minimal effort required on your part for proper lure presentation. The rod feels just like an extension of your arm.
